I was recommended by my friends Grace & Kent that I needed to try this Indian restaurant located in wicker park. Grace admitted that she wasn't a huge fan of Indian food, but she loved Cumin, she raved about how cute the restaurant was and how the food was even better. I am not super adventurous when it comes to Indian food, there are a few items I like and stick to. This is also a good way for me to gage the quality and differences from each Indian restaurant I go to. For a main course I always order the chicken makhani which is chicken breast simmered in a creamy tomato sauce with spices. I love how the chicken soaks up the flavors of the creamy tomato sauce and when served with garlic nan, it's a match made in heaven. However, during this visit, I decided to spice things up and try something new. I ordered the chicken momo which is a steamed dumplings of minced chicken seasoned with nepalese spices and herbs, this is a true “national dish”of nepal. The only reason this isn't a 5 star rating is because the food took a while to come out. The restaurant wasn't full and I didn't order anything complicated. But the overall experience was wonderful and I highly recommend it!
